Clinical experience guided by compassion, culture, and care.
Immigration stories often hold grief, fear, resilience, and hope. Thamar creates a steady, respectful space where clients can share those experiences at a pace that feels manageable.
More than an assessment—it is a person’s lived experience.
Thamar Blaise is a Florida Licensed Clinical Social Worker and EMDR-trained clinician with 20 years of experience supporting adults and families through trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship stress, and major life transitions.
Her approach combines careful clinical assessment with warmth and cultural humility. She understands that recounting painful experiences can feel overwhelming, especially when a client’s future or family stability feels uncertain. Each interview is structured, but never cold or rushed.
As a Haitian-American clinician fluent in English and Haitian Creole, Thamar is especially attentive to the ways culture, migration, faith, family roles, and community shape a person’s mental health and story.
